Students Serve Hillsboro Community with Thanksgiving Baskets

December 06, 2019
By Heather Brower

Every year during the month of November, together with our Religious Education program, each grade at St. Matthew School collects canned goods and other non-perishable food items and assembles them in baskets, enabling 40 families in need to make a traditional Thanksgiving meal to share with their loved ones.

On Nov. 20th, families gathered for the Soup and Bread Dinner in the school basement, after which food baskets were delivered to area friends and neighbors.

We want to thank those who donated to this important cause--both food and cash donations--and also those who buzzed around Hillsboro bringing groceries and happiness to those in need this year. God bless you!
